#2.- Delivery & Returns

As soon as you place an order on our website, we start processing it right away so that you can receive it as soon as possible. Most orders are dispatched from our studio within 2 to 3 working days.

Courier companies

We work with the most creditable courier companies, carefully chosen after verifying their national and international logistics network. In Spain, shipments are sent through MRW and the standard delivery time to receive your Materia Rica designs is 3 days after dispatch. We also have an optional express service if you wish to receive your purchases within 24 hours.

In Europe and the United Kingdom, we work with UPS. Orders using the Standard delivery option usually arrive 4-6 working days after dispatch. We also offer an Express option of 24 – 48  hours delivery time.

In the USA and Canada, we use DHL, with a delivery time of  3 – 5 business days after dispatch.

International shipments

In case of international shipments, the delivery times may vary since sea transport is used. So, we kindly request you to be patient. Every country has its own customs rules and duties. Materia Rica will not be responsible for such extra costs involved in international shipping.

What if I lose an earring?

Currently, we do not have all the designs that we have created throughout the history of Materia Rica in our catalogue; so you may not be able to find and buy a single pair. But don’t panic. You can complete this form indicating your order number and attaching a photo so that we can try to find a solution.

Do you accept custom orders?

We are not just a laser cutting firm. We would like to involve you in the creation process and give you suggestions on the design of your product. So, if you are a brand, institution or if you have an innovative project, we will be glad to consider your creative ideas with the possibility of collaborating together. Please complete this form so that we can get started!

Can I dedicate a product to someone?

When you place an order, you will have the option to add a card with your own personal message so that the product can be sent directly as a gift. Before completing your purchase, please select the ‘Custom Message’ option in the checkout page and follow the instructions.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes, you can simply select the ‘Gift Wrap’ option before completing your purchase.

Can I have a longer or a shorter chain? Can I choose the finish of my earring closures or my necklace chain?

Sure, no problem. Just mention the total length or the type of finish you would like, before completing your order so that when we create your design, we can take it into account. However, bear in mind that we don’t accept returns or exchanges for bespoke orders.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept PayPal and most credit and debit cards through our website. At the final stage of your order, you will be automatically redirected to our secure payment page. Once your payment has been confirmed, you will receive an email with your electronic invoice (it is important that you keep this safe for a while).

#5.- Product Care

Product care

Our earrings and necklaces are laser-cut and hand-painted and made of FSC-certified walnut wood. So, they need special care since they are handcrafted goods (link to blog post).

Tender, love & care

We use non-toxic and water-based varnishes to finish the paint. So if you wear them while bathing or taking a shower, the paintwork is very likely to get damaged.

If your Materia Rica gets stained, use a slightly dampened cloth to clean it. Do not use abrasive products as they can deteriorate the paint quality.

Our designs are laser-cut which results in highly polished and extremely detailed finishes. If you break an earring or necklace, please write to us at hello@materiarica.com indicating your order number and attaching a photo so that we can contact you right away to find a way to fix it.
