How to enter

Tell us a story of your own.

Enter on the official pinned giveaway post on @materiarica on Instagram. Tell us a story of your own connected to Materia Rica and tag someone who is part of it, or someone you would like to share it with.

Each different valid comment counts as one entry. You may enter more than once, provided each comment contains a different valid story.

No purchase, follow, like or share is required.

The prize

If your story is selected…

We’ll talk with you to learn more about your story and what it means to you — the people, symbols, colours, memories or references that form part of it.

Then Materia Rica will interpret it in our own way and create a unique piece of jewellery, made especially for you, within our creative language, materials and techniques. Final creative direction remains with Materia Rica.

Reference value of the prize: €250. Estimated design and production time: 8–12 weeks from acceptance of the prize and confirmation of the information needed to begin. There is no cash alternative.

Dates

When it happens.

From 29 October, once eligibility and acceptance have been confirmed, Materia Rica may communicate the selected Instagram handle and submitted story under the licence described below.

Who can enter

Free to enter. No purchase necessary.

The giveaway is open to natural persons aged 18 or over, or the higher age of majority that applies in their country of residence, who reside in a country included in Materia Rica’s active Shopify shipping zones at the time of entry, provided the prize can legally and reasonably be delivered there.

Materia Rica team members and their immediate families are excluded. Local legal restrictions apply where relevant.

Valid entries and exclusions

One different valid story = one entry.

A valid entry must contain a story of your own connected to Materia Rica and tag someone who is part of it or someone you would like to share it with. The tagged person does not need to enter.

Duplicate or copied comments, empty or automated comments, spam, fraudulent accounts, entries submitted outside the entry period, entries that do not follow the mechanic, or entries from ineligible persons may be excluded.

Selection and contact

Random, traceable and transparent.

On 28 October 2026 at 19:00 Barcelona time, one selected person and two alternates will be chosen at random from all valid entries using Easypromos or an equivalent traceable random-selection tool. The process will be communicated on Instagram Stories.

Materia Rica will contact the selected person only by direct message from @materiarica. They will have 72 hours to respond and confirm eligibility and acceptance. If they do not respond, decline the prize or are ineligible, Materia Rica may contact the first alternate and, if necessary, the second.

Stories and editorial licence

Your story remains yours.

Participants retain ownership of their stories. By entering, each participant grants Materia Rica a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to reproduce, quote, edit only for length or format, publish and publicly communicate the text of the submitted story and the participant’s Instagram handle across Materia Rica’s owned channels — website, Journal, newsletter and organic social media — and in editorial communications related to this campaign, the giveaway and the jewellery-making process.

This permission arises on entry and does not require separate consent afterwards. The licence applies for the duration of the campaign and for as long as those editorial materials remain accessible in Materia Rica’s archive.

It does not include photographs, video, voice, personal likeness or third-party content not contained in the submitted comment, nor paid advertising; additional permission will be requested for those uses where appropriate.

Privacy

How we use your information.

Personal data collected in connection with the giveaway will only be used to verify eligibility, contact the selected person or alternates, administer and deliver the prize, communicate the campaign as permitted above, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Shipping, customs, duties and taxes

We cover standard delivery of the prize.

Materia Rica will cover the standard shipping cost of the prize to an eligible destination.

For deliveries outside the European Union, the shipment may be subject to customs duties, import VAT, local taxes, brokerage fees or other charges imposed by the destination country, customs authority or carrier. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, any such charges are the responsibility of the selected person and are not included in the prize.

The selected person is also responsible for any personal tax obligations that may arise from receiving the prize in their country of residence. Where applicable law requires the organiser to report, withhold or pay a tax or charge in connection with the prize, the organiser will comply with that requirement.

Materia Rica will provide the shipping and customs documentation reasonably required to send the prize, but cannot be responsible for customs delays or charges imposed by third parties.

Fraud and exceptional circumstances

Keeping the giveaway fair.

Materia Rica may exclude entries that are fraudulent or do not comply with these terms. If technical problems, force majeure or other circumstances outside Materia Rica’s reasonable control prevent the promotion from operating as intended, Materia Rica may make proportionate changes or cancel the promotion where legally permitted, communicating any material change transparently.
